THIS MONTH: LITTLE VEGAN MONSTERS

NOT SCARY AT ALL

Little Vegan Monsters, a new publishing company, was formed by Lourdes Cañas Jovel and Anthony Acock. With their trusty and tireless helpers Nick Jeanette and Kurt Sollanek, they have used their cooking skills and animal rights dedication to support WFAS in so many ways. They took the initiatve to organize a number of different educational and fundrasing events on our behalf in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Little Vegan Monsters' ThanksLiving Desserts

Here's the insane list of desserts they made for the event!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Chocolate Pumpkin Tart
Chocolate Coconut Almond Candies
Peanut Brittle
Zucchini Bread
Banana Bread
Molasses Cookies
Cran-Apple Raspberry Cobbler
Cherry Pie
Apple Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Pecan Pie
Chocolate Almond Divinity
Chocolate Strawberry Cake
Lemon Raspberry Cake
Vanilla cupcakes with Black Cherry
Blueberry, Black Currant and Raspberry frosting
Chocolate cupcakes with Black Cherry , Blueberry, Black Currant and Raspberry frosting
Center Piece: Three tier Cake Chocolate Raspberry Cake
They also created incredible desserts at both our Grand Opening event this past September and at our recent ThanksLiving event -- proving to the world once and for all that vegan desserts can be downright delicious. On top of that they were responsible for some mouth-watering stuffed mushrooms at ThanksLiving!

And their generosity doesn't end there: As a group they recently drove up from New Haven to spend a day in the cold staining our goat/sheep barn and doing farm chores.

We are so thrilled to be friends with and to have gained the support of this uber-conscientious, talented hipster clan. Their generosity never ceases to amaze us. We love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. They are unstoppable philanthropic forces!

Check out their website for amazing recipes, super cool t-shirts and for more information about their cookbook. If you purchase the cookbook from their website a portion of the proceeds go to us, of course, 'cause these guys wouldn't have it any other way! They're just that generous!

You can also purchase the cookbook on Amazon (though these proceeds do not go to WFAS).

Anthony volunteered for work that's similar to decorating a cake, but arguably more toxic.

Nick is enthusiastic about his vitamin A.
