New York – March 24

A Monday right after Easter ought to be a slow night, but it was not to be.  Over 250 people packed the Gotham Comedy Club to see five of today’s top comedians come together for our first annual “Komedy For Karma” fundraiser.

Louis CK, Janeane Garofalo, Dave Attell, Gary Gulman, and Will Franken all laid down different layers of funny in a giant Laugh Lasagna -- salt and peppered by emcee Dan Piraro. Triumph the Comic Insult Dog introduced the whole show with a personal message via video (watch it here).

All in all, the event raised about $15,000 for the farm -- funds essential to feed and house over 100 critters and keep our educational message humming.

A big thanks to all the comedians for donating their time, JB Winkin and Chris Mazzilli of Gotham Comedy Club for donating the space, Robert Smigel for unleashing Triumph, Molly and George for staffing the merch table, Publicist Johnny Pizzolatto, our board members, Aurora Lampworks and This is Pop for underwriting the advertising, and a whole mess of people for getting the word out. And last but not least, all the kind folks who attended!

At least, that's how Dan looks.
