GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

Why watch soap operas at the gym when you could be burning calories throwing hay bales and building fences? Who cares how much you can bench-press when the real challenge is lifting 3 cow pies on a shovel!

Over 100 rescued farmed animals call Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary home and we invite you to become a member of our sanctuary family too! WFAS depends on volunteers and dedicated advocates to make our daily operations, rescue, education and advocacy efforts possible. Please look over the variety of volunteer programs we offer and become active for farm animals today!

DAILY ANIMAL CAREGIVERS NEEDED

The shelter animals need to be fed, watered and have their barns cleaned 7 days a week and we need your help to care for them. VOLUNTEERS AGE 16 OR OLDER ARE NEEDED ANY DAY OF THE WEEK TO HELP CLEAN BARNS. No appointment is necessary — just show up with clothes & shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty (we’ll supply the pitchforks!). We encourage you to pack a brown bag lunch (no meat or dairy please, out of respect for the animals), and sometimes on big project days we'll provide a big communal meal -- please check with us beforehand.

NEW! FARM CHORE DAYS
The First Saturday of Every Month

Join us for our monthly Farm Chore Day! Chore days are held the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m., followed by a vegan potluck from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A tour and quick volunteer orientation is also offered for all volunteers at 10:00. Volunteers will be helping with special barn cleaning projects, painting, grounds maintenance, and other projects. The work is mainly outdoors — wear farm clothes and shoes and a hat and sunscreen as needed.
